"Client" means the person or entity booking services. "Journey" means any transport service provided by Cape Chauffeur. "Driver" includes employees and approved subcontractors.
- Book online, by email, or phone. Provide accurate pickup times, addresses, passenger names, and flight details if applicable.
- We confirm by email/SMS. A contract forms upon confirmation.
- Special requests (child seats, meet-and-greet, multi-stops) must be declared at booking.
- Quotes include vehicle, driver, and standard tolls unless stated.
- Extras: parking, additional waiting beyond allowance, out-of-hours surcharges if applicable, and material route deviations requested by the client.
- Payment methods: card via PayGate, EFT, or approved account.
- No riba: we do not charge interest. For late invoices we may charge a reasonable admin and collection fee permitted by law.
- All amounts include/exclude VAT as stated on the invoice. VAT No: 9231859266.
- Standard allowance: 15 minutes for point-to-point pickups.
- Airports: 60 minutes from actual flight landing when valid flight number provided; driver will adjust for delays where possible.
- Beyond allowance billed per 15 minutes at the prevailing rate.
- No-show: full fare charged if the passenger fails to appear without contact during the allowance period.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup unless otherwise specified.
- Within 24 hours: up to 100% charge depending on costs incurred.
- Prepaid special events or long-distance may carry bespoke terms notified at booking.
- Amendments subject to availability and any price difference.
- Seatbelts required. Child seats supplied on request subject to availability.
- No smoking, vaping, or illegal substances.
- Food and messy items at driver’s discretion. Client liable for valeting fees for spillages or damage.
- Drivers may refuse service if safety is at risk or laws would be broken.
Reasonable luggage per vehicle class. Oversized or excess luggage must be declared. We are not liable for prohibited items or undeclared fragile goods.
We aim to be punctual. Traffic, weather, accidents, road closures, or events beyond our control may cause delays. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss resulting from such delays. We will act reasonably to mitigate and communicate.
- Our liability is capped at the amount paid for the affected journey, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or where the law prohibits limitation.
- We carry appropriate commercial motor insurance.
We may assign subcontractors who meet our standards. We remain responsible for delivery of the service.
Approved corporate accounts receive monthly statements. Payment terms: 15 days from invoice date. Non-payment may lead to suspension of service and reasonable admin/collection fees (no interest).
South African law applies. Disputes should first be escalated to management at info@capechauffeur.co.za. If unresolved, the parties may use mediation before litigation.
We operate with amānah (integrity), transparency, and no deception. We avoid riba in pricing and collections, and we honour shūrā by listening to client feedback.
We may update these terms with notice for future bookings. The version in force at booking applies.
